Had to submit under "Miscellaneous"
cuz there is no "Book Cover" gallery.

:pointr: Self Critics:
-I think the copy on the back might be a bit too much.
-I am not sure if I care to reduce the size of the vertical title on the indent to align the text on the back wing and the sub titles on the front.
-The placing of Virginia's image might look way too prominant. But well she deserves a more prominant place in his work.

I think it is excellent. With someone like Poe, you want to echo a mood that his work puts out there, and you have done that without going overboard with it...i think it is spot on. The copy on the back could be brought up to align with the top of Poe's photograph, to see if that helps with the "too much copy problem." The photograph might look too dominant when it is all flat in front of you, but on a wing it should work fine. And you are right about her deserving a prominent place. Great work on this. You have a great sense of design! :clap:

What a wonderful design!. It keeps the mood of poe's work, but I can definitely see your own style as well. Very nice man. :)

fantastic mate!
i like the design much...
also if it's printed on matte paper, with only the "Barroqued" title only is glossy (they call it "spot uv coating") it would be great!!!

Just a personal opinion, but I think the brief summary on the back inner jacket could go on the front inner jacket & vice versa.I'm not sure though, I do see that either way it is good. I'd buy the book just for the cover ;) Excellently put together.

Excellent work, and although graphic arts rarely receive appreciation on dA - I think this one deserves a LOT of credit.

Poe is one of my favorite writers of all time, although my degree in English taught me much about his personal life that I didn't care for. He was a devout racist and believed that the Black man deserved to be enslaved.
